Adrianna’s 2025 Travel Recap

As another year comes to a close, I look back again on the travels I took in 2025. I was away from home for about ⅓ of year and had some incredible trips with my favorite people. Since Hayden is no longer a teacher, and therefore no longer gets 2 months off from work every summer, we didn’t have our typical 4-5 week long trip over the summer. However, I still managed to squeeze in some great trips. I was lucky enough to visit one new country this year and then had the pleasure of revisiting destinations—getting to further explore countries I had visited in the past.

Ecuador

I kicked off the year with a trip to Ecuador with Hayden in late January. Hayden wanted to visit Ecuador to kayak and I decided to tag along, flying out about 5 days before him to go horseback riding. I stayed at the lovely Hacienda el Porvenir where I got to meet with the owners and learn all about their eco-friendly hotel. They had so many activities on their property and was ecstatic to go horseback riding through Cotopaxi National Park with fellow horseback riders (meaning we could gallop through the mountains, rather than riding butt to nose on a walking trail ride.) I also went on some light hikes around the property, ate some really incredible food, and in general soaked up the relaxing atmosphere.

Once Hayden arrived, I met him in Quito and we set off to Baeza and Tena for him to kayak. From there we spent a couple days in Banos where we went canyoning and checked out the local hot springs. We absolutely loved Ecuador and cannot wait to go back to visit the Galapagos Islands and the Amazon.

Spain

Horses were the theme of 2025 (even though 2026 is the year of the horse) and I had a dreamy girls trip planned with Bailey and Kelsey to go riding in the Andalusian mountains. I flew out to Spain a few days before they got there to check out a few hotel properties and explore the White Villages. The White Villages are rooted deep in Moorish history and are picturesque whitewashed villages that are perched in the Andalusian mountains. They are incredibly unique and the drive to get from one village to the next is breathtaking. My absolute favorite towns were Ronda and Setenil de las Bodegas.

Once Bailey and Kelsey arrived we set off for Los Olivillos, a farm a few hours northeast from Malaga. Our nightly price included 3 home-cooked meals a day, daily horseback riding, and unlimited local beer & wine. It’s safe to say that we were in heaven. We spent our days going on trail rides through the mountains and our evenings laughing with new friends over the most delicious meals. After about 5 days of riding, we set off to explore both Granada and Seville. Both cities were incredible and offer a unique glimpse into how the Moorish rule affected this sliver of Europe.

California

In late May I set off to Napa Valley for my best friend’s bachelorette party. While I had been to Napa before, I had only scooted through last time I was visiting and I was with Hayden who is not a fan of wine. So I was extra excited to visit this iconic wine destination with all of my best friends. We had a gorgeous Airbnb outside of Sonoma and split our time between Napa, Sonoma, and hanging out in our hourse. A highlight of the trip was our TukTuk Wine Safari with Laces and Limos where we bopped around Napa Valley to visit different wineries in a cute little TukTuk. The tour also featured a picturesque lunch in the middle of the vineyards.

Spain

I was lucky enough to visit Spain twice this year! We set off for Mallorca in September for a family vacation to soak up some sun before fall fully set in at home. We stayed at the beautiful Bahía Suites Camp de Mar which is perched on a cliff overlooking the water. The theme of this trip was relaxation—so we mainly spent our days relaxing by the beach and pool. We did manage to get out and explore a few different villages and also got some great shopping in. The highlight of our trip was our boat day where we took a private catamaran along the coast, which I highly recommend when visiting just about any island.

France

After Spain, Sara and I set off to the South of France which we absolutely adored. We spent a few days in Provence where we fell in love with the winding streets, soft light, and picturesque facades. The villages are so quaint, you feel as if you’re in a movie set. We spent our days driving our little fiat from village to village, eating the most delicious food and drinking plenty of rose.

After our few days in Provence, we set out to Cannes on the coast. By this point we were both pretty beat from a full couple of weeks of travel, so we went full relax mode. We went shopping at the French pharmacy (a great spot to grab some high quality skincare) and spent our days relaxing and eating by the water. Provence was definitely the highlight of this trip and I’m already itching to head back.

Ireland

The final international trip of the year was the Más Travelled Ireland Knitting Escape! This trip was a huge success and a great group of knitting lovers joined me in the Irish countryside. We visited woolen mills, yarn shops, and had the joy of visiting a sheep farm as well. We stayed in Lyrath Estate in Kilkenny, which was a spectacular stay and now a Más Travelled go-to for our clients headed to Ireland.

Home

After a year full of travel, I was excited to stay put and enjoy my home for the remainder of 2025. Working and traveling can be quite stressful and exhausting at times, though I’m so grateful that my job allows me the ability to travel so often. Going into 2026 I will be trying my best to take an international travel hiatus to prepare for a large trip that kicks off in September. Because in true Adrianna and Hayden fashion, we will be taking a four month long honeymoon next fall and I want to be absolutely starving for travel in anticipation. To appease my ever hungry travel bug in 2026, I plan to have plenty of domestic trips scattered about and will be focusing my efforts on building dream trips for the growing Más Travelled community.
